Your portfolio is your pitch. It should show not just what you made, but why you made it and what it achieved. Case studies that include before and after, the problem, and the measurable result convert far better than a grid of pretty screenshots.

Lastly, treat every client like a long-term partner. The best freelancers don't hunt for new clients constantly — they build relationships that generate referrals, retainers, and repeat work. That compound effect is the real business model.
